I just finished making these and they are by far one of the best cookies I have ever made....and I make a LOT of cookies!
I used regular semi-sweet chocolate chips (I didnt have any of the bittersweet) and I substituted hersheys special dark cocoa for the regular cocoa. I also found that if you let the dough rest on the counter for a half an hour or so, it thickens up and makes the cookies spread less and come out even better! I was able to get 3 dozen using a small cookie scoop. I will use this over and over I am sure!
It’s everything we love about our dark chocolate walnut cookies. These babies are prime for dunking in a glass of ice-cold milk. The dough only takes 15 minutes to prepare, so these tasty little morsels are a perfect homemade treat when the clock’s ticking
